We wonder how many of you recognize this view from Door Bluff County Park?

Our Door County days have been filled with enjoyable hikes, seeking wildflowers, and hanging out with new and old friends alike.

Now that the summer solstice has come and gone … we are busy getting ready for Dave’s featured artist show at Edgewood Orchard Galleries that runs from August 10th through the 28th with a reception on Saturday, August 10th from 4-7pm.

The show will feature Dave’s work along with painter Mary Ulm Mayhew, painter William A. Suys, Jr., sculptor C.T. Whitehouse and jeweler Regina Imbsweiler.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries (4140 Peninsula Players Road) is a beautiful gallery in a beautiful setting.  During the season, the galleries and sculpture garden are open daily.  Hope you get a chance stop by if you are in Door County.

Dave’s work was also selected for juried shows at the DeVos Art Museum in Marquette, MI and at the Wright Art Museum in Beloit, WI.  The show at the DeVos runs June 7 – August 4, 2013 and the show at the Wright runs June 15 – July 25, 2013.

Goats on My Mind

Last week while wandering the Wetlands Preserve at the bottom of the hill in Ephraim, I came across this stump… I call it “Goats on My Mind.”  Saturday, May 11 — is the first ever “Roofing of the Goats” here in Sister Bay.

There will be a parade – all goats are invited to participate – from Mill Road down the street to Al Johnson’s Restaurant where the restaurant’s goats will be “roofed” on the grass for the first time this season.  Can’t wait!  Rain date: next Saturday, May 18.
