Photo Op (Oct 1 – 28) at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts

Five of our works have been selected for Photo Op, an exhibition at the Laura H. Miles Gallery of the Minnetonka Center for the Arts in Wayzata, Minnesota. Located just west of Minneapolis on Lake Minnetonka, the exhibition runs from October 1-28 with an opening reception Thursday, October 1 from 6-8pm.

Photo Op, curated by Exhibits Director Robert Bowman, explores how artists optimize the opportunities afforded by the powerful, widely available medium of photography while honoring their own personal vision. Through the selection of unusual subject matter, a unique approach to a common subject matter, or the use of new or special photographic process, the artists included in the exhibition achieve a variety of solutions to the challenge of making the photographic medium their own.

We are excited to be a part of this exhibition because for the last fifteen years or so we have been developing techniques that fundamentally re-conceptualize how the standard tools of digital photography are applied to image creation.  The exhibited works include three of our Tilton + Oeler collaborations: Drifting Along Blues (30 x 48 inches), Summer Breeze (30 x 48 inches), and Out the Cabin Window (12 x 15 inches) along with two of Dave’s solo works: Spilt Cherry Road (38 x 38 inches), and Blue Evening Timbre (36 x 45 inches).

We’ll be at the opening on Thursday, October 1 from 6-8 pm and we’d love to see you if you’re in the area. Minnetonka Center for the Arts, 2240 North Shore Drive, Wayzata, MN.
